Depending on character sets and email clients different parts of the email (sometimes the subject, sometimes the attachment) is not shown correctly (typically a lot of non-alphabet characters). Braintoss has chosen to support the most universal format UTF-8.
This problem can also happen when copying information from websites or other locations.
